We have already been back at college a week, welcoming our new and returning students and at the same time thinking, ‘where did the summer go?’
It was great though, to have some time to relax and recharge after a busy, hectic end of year with final shows and exams and sad goodbyes to our third year students who were leaving. We look forward to charting their successes.
However, for our College Director, Craig Bartley, a relaxing summer was off the cards as he flew off to New York the day after our final summer show to star on Broadway as lead vocalist and show host/compare in ‘SMILE’ at the Town Hall Theatre, New York. It was a great experience but not his first time on Broadway as he has appeared in Follies Royale as juvenile lead role of Joe in the original New York production on Broadway.
Still he took it in his stride and the show was a success. He also got some time off to relax, catch up with friends and have fun in the big apple, taking in the sights and seeing Frozen, Anastasia and Bette Midler in Hello Dolly.
It’s back to work now and we are all excited again for the year ahead. We have also released new audition dates for next academic year, so if you want to see our college and take part in the open day then get in touch now and book your place. See the audition page for more details.
