Craig Bartley, our Course Director, choreographs a dazzling finale at the 5th annual Dance Proms 2015 at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
Sunday 15 November saw 500 dancers from around the UK and Europe take to the stage to perform a wide variety of dance styles and techniques from classical ballet and jazz to latin, street, musical theatre and contemporary. The event, hosted by Matt Flint with guest performances by Lukas McFarlane and his dance company UnTitled and The Royal Ballet performing the pas de deux from The Nutcracker helped add an extra special polish.
The finale was a triumph when all 500 dancers took to the stage and performed a dazzling spectacle all choreographed by our Course Director, Craig Bartley which resulted in a standing ovation. See here for more information on the Dance Proms. Freelance dance writer, Clare Cohen wrote a review of the whole evening:
Clare said “The Finale – when every group danced together in the arena and on stage, filling the Royal Albert Hall’s enormous space with their colourful costumes, was another choreographic feat. Over 500 young people dancing in unison. Dance Proms 2015 was an absolute treat.”
And Dance Proms “The finale was choreographed by Craig Bartley, which saw all performers in the arena of the Royal Albert Hall, and prompted a standing ovation from the audience.”
